In 2014, I flew around the world on my own terms, in a modern day aircraft, with the help of a whole-hearted team and in a way that allowed me to climb to altitudes I never knew existed. My 28,000 mile, 18 day global trek took two years to plan, almost fell apart more times than I can count and plenty of people told me I couldn’t make it happen.
While retracing the flight of my namesake, Amelia Mary Earhart, I knew that it was up to me to build my own runway, to create my own path that I wanted to follow.
